| ENTROPIC
| | Entropic was formed in a fairly chaotic manner, to play a gig at short notice. After improvising a nights worth of music, the group came away with a recording of their efforts and the beginnings of a new musical project.
2003 was a busy year for Entropic, launching their debut album 'Braille' and the remix counterpart 'Rendezvous' (featuring Sydney remix artists such as Deepchild, Meem and Raven) and completing a string of successful launches around the country.
Entropic performed as part of 'Dance Tracks' at the Sydney Opera House, The Queensland Biennial Festival of Music, Adelaide's Fuse Festival and the Woodford Folk Festival.
In 2004 Entropic continued touring, taking in Bellingen Global Carnival, and once again Woodford Folk Festival, all the while writing and refining the material for their next recording project.
Factory Seconds is the latest offering from Entropic, darker, harder, and edgier than earlier releases. For Factory Seconds Entropic worked with renowned producer Tony Buchen (Kid Confuscious, Blue Juice, Vassy, Lior, and member of The Baggsmen) who expertly guided the band deeper into the electronic world while still capturing the organic and random nature of live instrumentalists. |

| LUCKY $
| | "If you don't know who I am. That makes two of us. I'm Lucky Dollar a virtual stranger to my real self or possibly my real self coming out in a form in which I am free to have the sense of humour of a 4 year old, the cheekiness of a an 8 year old and the libido of an 16 year old. Not to forget, a musical genius too. :-)
Over the years, in Sydney, I've have played and toured with some of Australia's finest artists and have been blessed to have some of them contribute to this album. Andy Clockwise has a cameo appearance. Mahalia Barnes, Jade MacRae and Roxy Labrasse help me out with there talents. A collaboration with Aussie HIP HOP legends Good Buddha rocks the house and closes the album.
An album you can happily sit/dance/smile and laugh through without getting bored of it. This album is Lucky Dollar's Radio Friendly. Did I mention I love the obvious? " |
