ARTISTS: APRIL 2006
PRINCESS ONE POINT FIVE

|
A solo project of sorts for Australian singer songwriter, Sarah-Jane Wentzki, 'At Long last' is a lucid, honest and fully realized suite of songs co-produced by Richard Andrew and released on Le De Records, through Pharmacy Records. 'At Long Last' was successfully launched at Manchester Lane, Melbourne, Australia, in April 2005 and has received significant airplay on PBS, 3CR and Triple R in Melbourne, nationally on Triple J and ABC Radio National , and Internationally on Portugal's "Radio Total", Spanish radio station "Celio Liquido" and French radio show "Babes In Boyland"(broadcast on l EKO des Garrigues 88.5 FM (Montpellier) and Radio Campus (Paris) 93.9FM).
To her latest credit, Sarah-Jane has recently won the 2005 Qantas Spirit Of |
Youth Awards, for songwriting and composition. Her prize of $10,000 worth of cash and airfares guarantees that the considerable interest generated by the album overseas, can and will be fully realized. Negotiations for licensing and distribution in the UK through Shellshock and Germany through Stickman are currently underway, and a full-scale tour nationally and internationally is in the pipeline for June/July 2006.
The live Princess One Point Five show is a carousel of revolving and interchangeable members, ensuring that no two shows are ever entirely the same. During the winter months, several different incarnations of the lineup have cut a swathe through Sydney and Melbourne with their set of lush, melancholic lullabies.
Currently Sarah-Jane is in the studio working on the next offering for "Princess One Point Five", due for release in Australia in April 2006.

FAUX PAS

|
After a long period of preliminary hibernation, Tim Shiel emerges from his slumber under the guise of Faux Pas, throwing his hat into the already crowded ring, filled with headwear similarly thrown by the millions of others who just want their shit to be heard. Tim is 24 and he’s from Melbourne Australia. Faux Pas is samples, guitars, crazy drum solos, Casio, horns, afrobeat, folk - music in a blender.

DEAD KITTEN PARADE

|
When most people hear about the sunny Sydney suburb of "Maroubra" they
usually think of the sneak revenge attacks which promptly followed the
Cronulla riots. But it is also the birthplace and home of three piece rock
band Dead Kitten Parade.
Originally formed at Maroubra High School in the late nineties ( now shut
down and sold to France, thanks Mr.Carr ) and found themselves growing up
during the ripe end of the alternative/grunge era, had it not been for bands
like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Weezer & Sonic Youth then there
might not have been reason for Robbie, Johnny and Grant to ever start
playing together.
